Megan's Dayhome is a private dayhome providing quality child care where children feel comfortable and like part of our family. I provide a nurturing environment where the kids learn, create, laugh and play. All of my dayhome family learn through a combination of structured play and free play with a focus on manners, respect, and day to day skills.

​

You can expect your child to receive the same quality care and attention I show my own daughter. I have a small group of children so everybody's needs for care, attention, direction and love can be met.

​

The main childcare provider is myself, Megan. I am certified in child first aid through Saint John Ambulance and I provide a criminal background check and vulnerable sector search.  I love providing care for children and teaching them all about the world we live in. 

​

My husband joins us some days as he works in a rotating schedule. He is also certified in CPR with a level C AED and he provides a criminal background check and vulnerable sector search as well.

​

Our daughter is a one and a half year old friendly litle girl! She is a very happy and social and she loves playing with all of her friends at the dayhome.

​

The play area is located on the main floor. It is an open concept area with plenty of room for playing, dancing, make believe and creating.

​

There is a separate nap time area upstairs. Children are monitored using a baby monitor during nap time while the other children are downstairs having quiet time. An individual playpen crib is available for babies. 

​

The home has a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen. We have a security system installed and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are on both levels.

​

Our dayhome offers all meals and snacks-including breakfast! We have highchairs and booster seats if needed. All food provided follow's the Canada Food Guide Regulations for healthy eating.

Our home is kept clean and hazard free. All floors are vacuumed and washed daily outside of dayhome hours in addition to being swept and spot cleaned throughout the day as needed. All eating surfaces are kept clean and sleeping sheets are laundered weekly.

​

We clean the toys regularly and rotate them so the children always have something "new" to play with. 

​

We like to celebrate birthdays and other special times such as  first day at our dayhome, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter,  Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas.

​

We like to spend time outdoors playing or going for walks and on occasion we may take a field trip. We will give plenty of notice in advance of our plans.

​

​Our home is smoke free, pet free and very baby friendly.

​
